It can be rather expensive to clothe your children in the finest labels, especially when they outgrow them so fast. However your child's boutique clothing probably still has a great deal of value, so consigning with Upscale Resale is a great way to earn a return on your investment. We operate the sale over a 3-day period, giving you the opportunity to discount your items half-price on the last day. You earn 70% of the sell price for each item sold, minus a $10 Consignor fee.

Consignors who bring 10 or more accepted items will be invited to the exclusive Preview Sale on Thursday evening to shop before it opens to the Public on Friday & Saturday. 

Consignors, you are welcome to bring your Mother (or daughter) to the Preview sale!

* CONSIGNORS: ALL INVENTORY MUST BE ENTERED INTO THE SYSTEM PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT ON SUNDAY EVENING- MARCH 4TH

Consigning Instructions:

1. REGISTER: Register on our website. Log in using your Consignor number and Password. (Your password is the last 4 digits of your telephone # ). If you have ever consigned with us, you are in our system. Be sure to update your account information, especially your e-mail since that is primarily how we keep in touch with you.

2. APPROVED BRANDS: Review the list of acceptable and unacceptable items. Keep in mind the correct season of the sale (Fall/Winter in August, Spring/Summer in March). Items must be in style, acceptable brands and in season. We do not accept clothing that is obviously 5+yrs old.

3. PRESENTATION MATTERS! Place clothes on hangers with the hook facing to the left (like a question mark). Tie the bows, fasten buttons, snaps and close the zippers. Check for missing buttons, snaps, loose hems, broken zippers, etc. and remove stains. We do not accept items with stains or imperfections. Launder clothing and iron or dry clean. Please do not bring your clothing wrinkled! You will be kindly asked to steam them before you leave.
   

4. PRICING: Price in whole dollar increments only. Determine a FAIR price for each item. Consider what you paid originally and discount it 1/2 to 1/4 based on the current condition of the item. Also, consider marking your item to go half-price on Saturday. If your item is priced right, it should sell right away. If it's still there Saturday, chances are it's overpriced. Items that show minor wash wear or aren't crisp sell best at 1/4 of the original purchase price.

5. SIZING: If the item is labeled as a size range (3-6m) or non-numerical (S/M/L), European (Hanna Andersson) or  the item runs large or small for its labeled size, use your best judgment to indicate the proper numerical size.

6. SHOES: Lock pairs of shoes together using a cable tie and/or leave in original box and use one tag for each pair of shoes. No Ziploc bags unless absolutely necessary.

7. TAGS:  Do not use dark colored cardstock. Bright, white or very light colored cardstock only. Sorry, but tags from other sales are not accepted. Attach the tag to the garment at the opposite end of the barcode so it doesn't get ripped during purchasing. Any tags with handwritten pricing information on them will not be accepted. DO NOT USE SAFETY PINS! Please use zip ties (found in the electrical/lighting section of stores).
   

8. PRE-SORT: Please sort your clothing by size & gender for easier drop-off. Count your items to make sure you have the appropriate number as indicated on your Consignor Inventory Report.

9. DROP-OFF: During or after your appointed Drop-off time, Upscale Resale will inspect the clothing and accept items that meet our specifications. We reserve the right to refuse any item that we feel doesn’t meet our criteria and either return it to you immediately or pull it from the sales floor later if we missed something at drop-off.  It is not uncommon to have to take a few items back for things you missed. Please do not be offended. Often we notice things in fluorescent lighting that you might not have noticed in your own home. Thank you for your understanding & cooperation.
   BRING YOUR CONSIGNOR INVENTORY REPORT on regular white copy paper & a Self-addressed stamped envelope (remember postage is now .45cents).

10. PAYMENT: Earnings are tallied as 70% of the selling price on each item sold. We will issue a check to you for the amount, less a $10.00 consignor fee within two weeks of the sale close date using the Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) you brought to drop-off. If you forget the SASE, $1.00 will be deducted from your earnings.

11. Upscale Resale can not be responsible for items that are incorrectly tagged by the Consignor.  Also, hangers will not be returned.

12. PICK-UP: You must pick up your unsold clothing on Saturday during the posted Pick-Up hours. Any clothing not picked up after the designated Pick-Up will become the property of Upscale Resale and will be donated to various charities. NO EXCEPTIONS!
